Phil & Sarah, August 16, 2008

Next to my own, I'm not sure that any wedding has ever meant more to me. Sarah is "my girl". After 4 intense years of friendship and business together I can see parts of myself and my craft that were strongly influenced by this amazing woman. Naturally, along with that comes a deep love for her children and Phil, the man who has supported her through raising 3 beautiful babies while allowing her to become the uber-talented photographer she is today.
Avery, the middle child....making sure Daddy got it right. ummmm....sorry, no traditional photos for these two....
mother of 3?????
The Sousa Clan

hahaha! fireworks??!?!?!
From her custom designed wedding gown to the completely black and white theme (finished with black feathers, crystal chandeliers, dresses with pockets-of course), Sarah's edgy cocktail themed-style came to life.

While she still works with me here and there, Sarah is branching off on her own now and is building the most amazing portfolio of work. (contact me if you'd like to know more)
Sarah, love you long time!

Mike & Trish, August 9th, 2008

So Trish was SOOOOO excited to get married outside. The weather held until 4:00 on the dot, just before our bride was supposed to walk down the aisle, on the dot when we looked up to see a wall of water bearing down on us from across the countryside. As the guests took cover inside and shook off the rain, I went to see how Trish was faring. She was just as excited to be getting married as she was moments before when she thought she was getting married outside. Honestly, we had so much fun with this group and not just because we were hopped up on sugar all night from the candy buffet!

The real deal...NO PhotoShopping on this image at all!

The "Sears Catalogue Shot"...you guys were hilarious!!!

Great wedding guys...thanks for the laughs!

How cool is my job????

That's me up top!!!

This past weekend was insane!!! Saturday was Sarah (you may know her from her assisting me at dozens of my weddings, shooting her own AWESOME stuff or even from my past posts) and Phil's wedding. This was a killer, rock-star style event...images coming soon. Then Sunday had me photographing my "sista" Linda's whole family (50 of them!!!) at the Van Nynatten family farm...more images to follow. Then Sunday night it was boudoir shots of a couple I will be photographing at their wedding later this year...NO photos to follow as these ones were pretty private.

Anyway, check me out high in the sky, capturing a "bumper crop" of Van Nynattans in thier very own wheat field!

Phil and Sarah, Engagement

This coming weekend is a big one, Sarah and Phil get married on the 16th and I figured I'd better post their engagement photos before the big day! (here's their guestbook design) Sarah is one of my best friends. She's been right by my side through dozens of weddings for the past 3 seasons, was instrumental in the launch and operations of Boulevard Photography and has been shooting killer weddings on her own for the past 2 seasons. I'm so excited for Saturday but not too sure how I'm going to be able to shoot through the tears.
Love you guys!!!

Matthew & Pamela, August 8, 2008

August 8 was a very busy day for weddings this year thanks to the 8.8.8 anniversary. We had a blast spending it with Pamela and Matthew.

Rick & Sandra, August 2nd

This large family wedding was perfect reflection of Sandra and Rick. Elegant, quirky, fun! I met Sandra and Rick a couple of years ago and had a blast getting to know them better as they planned their day. Engagement photos at the farm, amazing and heart-felt (yeah, I cried a lot) Rotanian traditions, flowers that looked straight from the pages of Wedluxe magazine and of course, pig and cow shaped summer sausage for wedding favours. You two are hilarious!
