W. Brett Wilson: Redefining Success

Early last spring, I received an email from Brett Wilson, Canada's favourite entrepreneur and philanthropist asking me to work on a project for the marketing of his upcoming autumn book launch.  I travelled to Calgary for a full day shoot in Brett's home and the Prairie Merchant offices.  Working with a team of unparalleled excellence, we covered off  MANY different wardrobe changes, looks and locations.  Brett even went for a haircut while the rest of us broke for lunch!  Many people have asked me many questions about Brett since this shoot and I think my best recommendation to you is read his book.  (schedule of his book tour here) He's forthright, funny, fair and frankly-brilliant. At first I was going to include a list of publications in which these images have appeared but that list has become long, very long.

Brett's new book is entitled "Redefining Success: Still Making Mistakes" (a concept I can relate to) and when you get to the bottom of this post you will see a few of the "Things Mistakes Have Taught Me (Brett)" These quotes can be downloaded as wallpaper or Facebook photo covers or to share with friends.  Signed prints (by Brett, not me) are also available.

Thanks Brett for this opportunity.

Heather Fritz Photography in Finelifestyles Magazine

Just over a year ago I started shooting freelance work for Fine Lifestyles Magazines. I've had the opportunity to photograph some amazing businesses and people for the magazine. I traveled to Los Angeles to photograph Shannon Tweed and her family in their home, I photographed Brett Wilson during his Saskatoon stop over for the 2011 Pitch Party and have been invited into the homes and business of many other exciting, successful and influential Saskatchewan-ers. It was kind of thrilling, then, to see my own business featured in this edition of the Lifestyles Magazine. I think writer, Karin Melberg Schwier captured the essence my business perfectly. If you have a difficult time reading the pages here on the blog, you can see the full magazine here. The article is on page 21.

This is one of my favourite Brett Wilson images...more to come in up-coming issues and blog posts!
