It was Teresa's dream winter wonderland in Paris this past weekend as Scott and Teresa said "I do" on the river amidst a beautiful snowfall. The beauty of their ceremony was only enhanced by the comic relief of the couple's 5 year old noticed the writing on Daddy's hands as he read his vows ...ooops!

Love In Las Vegas! Adam & Rhyanon, January 15, 2008

When Adam and Rhyanon from Victoria BC approached me to shoot their Las Vegas wedding, I was so sorry to decline. I had a scheduling conflict on their day. So I was thrilled when Rhyanon called me back two days later to inform me that they would be getting married on a Tuesday so I could capture their day for them.

From The Wynn to Red Rock Canyon to The Little Church of the West to Spago (for a 7 course dinner), it was a wild ride! The 18 friends and family that came from across the continent to celebrate with the happy couple decided that they would all come back each year to celebrate Adam and Rhyanon's anniversary (whether or not Adam and Rhyanon attended themselves!).

It's always exciting when my work gets published on a national level but I was especially proud that Melanie and Martin's special day became a full page feature in the Spring/Summer issue of "Today's Bride". They had a very small intimate winter wedding at the Old Mill in Downtown Toronto.

I'm always fond of saying that I don't mind being hired to cover a shorter portion of the day (I was only with this couple and their family for 3 hours that day) because it is a refreshing way to look at wedding coverage. As a photographer you are challenged to create a full story in a shorter period of time. Add a little extra pressure knowing that the bride is a trained photographer herself and I worked hard to stretch my creative muscles that day.

Funny thing is, my favourite images from the day are the ones where I didn't try very hard and Mel and Martin probably weren't even aware I was there...well, isn't that always the way.

Happy Anniversary next month you two. Thanks for being my newest celebrity couple!

Happy New Year!!!!
Ian and Jody rang in the New Year with family and friends by declaring themselves forever at one of my favourite wedding spots. The Historic Doctor's House in beautiful Kleinburg was the perfect backdrop for this New Year's fete.

Thank you to the wedding party for making Jess and I feel like one of the gang!
