Learning and Growing while "I Shoot People"

(Me, JB, D'ette and Sarah)

I SHOOT PEOPLE! (a fabu workshop by the amazing Sallees!)

Okay, you know it...I love shooting people and I love people who shoot people. I also love to learn more about shooting people. I was truly pumped to attend JB and D'ette Sallee's I Shoot People seminar in Toronto Friday night. I had seen them speak at WPPI in Vegas 2 years ago and some of their key messages are still a part of my business today. It seemed like a no-brainer for Sarah (my #1 associate photographer) and I to take 5 hours on a Friday night to hear what else this wacky duo have been up to (despite the fact that I am chin deep in weddings and Sarah, while still shooting, is only days away from her own wedding). What for some great new things to come from Heather Fritz Photography later this year inspired my the mad ravings of these big-hearted Texan photographers.

Thank you JB and D'ette, your generosity is amazing!

Scott & Erika, July 19, 2008

If there weren't enough gorgeous sisters in the wedding party (there were 4) to intimidate you, there were certainly enough teachers in attendance to keep you in line (there were MANY, including the bride and groom). The bride's family farm provided an idyllic setting for this wedding. Guests, family and wedding party alike enjoyed the day laughing, eating and wandering the beautiful grounds in celebration of this beautiful couple.

Eric & Lisa July 12, 2008

Lisa and Eric's wedding was a great day to meet new friends and re-connect with old ones. AND the constant drizzle didn't do anything to dampen Lisa's mega-watt smile!

First comes love.....

...then comes marriage, then comes Sundeep pushing the baby carriage. I have been so honoured to see Kevin and Sundeep through their engagement, wedding, pregnancy and now I get to help them celebrate their new arrival, Kieron Singh Marks!

I just love this wee man! Good job guys!

Trevor & Amanda, July 11, 2008

I first met this couple when I photographed them with their newborn son, Joshua, in their home last year. You don't get much better looking than Trevor and Amanda and I'm not sure that I've ever met a couple quite so into each other....it would be a little infuriating if they weren't such awesome people on the inside (don't even get me started on the poem Trevor wrote for Amanda and read at the reception).

I wish you both the best and will watch with joy as your family grows throughout the years.

Tim & Amanda, July 5th 2008

After a 2 hour drive up to Owen Sound, this was a great group to hang out with. It's the "Year of the Twin Brothers" for me as every wedding party seems to have a set of tin brothers in it. Tim and Amanda's joy was infectious as we laughed our way from one end of this pretty little town to the other.

Rory & Jessica, June 28, 2008

Like the mother hen that I am, I try not to pick favourites but I just can't help but mention Jessica as ONE of my favourites. She's just so real, so pretty and tough all at the same time. Marrying into this gaggle of brothers, she's gonna need it! No wonder that handsome man loves you so much! Sorry for making you cry during the toasts Jess, but big brother's words may have been the sweetest I have ever heard.

Joe & Olivia, June 21, 2008

There were many sisters, a mother of the groom who looked like a sister, dozens of guests from overseas and a bride and groom completely undeterred by flash thunder storms. It was a great day and just tonnes of fun!
