Kickin' around with the brothers

In an earlier post you will see Camden and Ryerson's whole family. These photos were actually captured a few months before that. It was just a fun laid-back afternoon and it's such a cold crummy day today, I thought you'd like to reminisce with me!

Celebrating Karin!

This is Karin, when these photos were done, she had just lost 30 lbs. She flew in from Victoria just to have some photos done that celebrated her transformation. This is just a very slim cross section of our amazing day together...the rest?...well, this is a family blog!

Heather Fritz Photography Stuff

...so get ready to get some UN-seasonal blog posts! We (I have employed my second personality here) are going to really burn up the wee morning hours and try to get blog posts caught up in the next few months. In the meantime, if you'd like to know what's currently going on at HFP, I/we would be happy to send you our monthly-ish newsletter. Just click HERE to sign up!

Also, if you happen to be out and about in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, check out Willow Studio in Kensington. I have some fine art pieces for sale in the "Branching Out" exhibit. My favourite this year (only one ever printed) "Crooked One" will arrive sometime next week.

The Holiday High Tea

The ladies (and one wee gentleman) of Saskatoon came together in the name of fashion, tea and fundraising earlier this month at The Holiday High Tea, hosted by Heather Fritz Photography and Lux Events. This season's tea was held at The Station Place in Saskatoon. Our High Tea theme was accessorized by hats, hats, and more hats! (and fascinators!) Final tally isn't in yet but thanks to a cash-match by Potash Corp, we raised into the thousands in food and cash for the Saskatoon Food Bank. It was a full house of food, fashion and fun...take a peak!Link

and so this is Fritzmas!

...my house is a disaster, I am about 45 blog posts behind, I'm chin deep in 2 big non-portrait (yet still photography related projects), I'm in agony as I am just getting my body back into shape and the fitness regime is kicking my butt, I still haven't found time to get my car fixed from my third~yes third~car accident (all NOT my fault-please don't text and drive) of the year.

....yeah but its all good.

Really good. This year our kids stayed healthy, we stayed married and I never got hurt no matter how many times the universe sent another vehicle hurtling towards mine.

I'm not trying to be irreverent when I say "Fritzmas" (maybe a little cute) but the fact is I don't really care what you are celebrating this year. I believe in family; the family you are born with and the family that you choose (and even the family that just stumbles into your life). At Christmas, I celebrate the people in my life, friends who are like family, clients who become friends, the family I was born and married into, the family I created (who hasn't let me sleep in in 9 years), and the family I chose 13 years ago when he bought me a snowball in Medicine Hat, Alberta.

Happy Holidays and thank you for being you!

Two Shoots, Two Babies, Twice the fun!

Meet the Flamen Family. I got to work with them twice in the past few months! In the Fall, they made the trek to Saskatoon and we played in the park. Once the snow flew, I headed down to Kindersley and we tumbled in the snow. Amazing how much the girls changed in just a few short weeks!
