The Jacobson Girls!

You've met the Jacobsons on the blog before (here for family, here for fitness, and here for a joint charity project for the RUH Foundation Maternity Lounge) and you've probably met Jordana at one of her two shops, Cravings kids lifestyle boutique and Cravings Baby & Maternity Boutique.  This was a quick shoot from last summer that was supposed to only include the girls, but we still managed to capture a couple of mom and dad too!

 

The Secret is Out

For the past few months, Jordana Jacobson and Rebecca Simpson, the already-busy co-owners of cravings baby & maternity boutique and cravings kids lifestyle boutique have been all over the city, back and forth meeting with local businesses and up at the Royal University Hospital Maternity Ward as they finalize the details on their re-model of the outdated maternity lounge! I so pleased to be a part of the project and can't wait to show you the "AFTERS" (featuring lots of Heather Fritz Photography fine art pieces)...word from insiders at the hospital is that the renovation is already spectacular!

You can't really tell here, but Alison is pregnant. You also can't really tell here but Mike is on crutches and can't walk at all. YOU CAN tell here that Emily is precious and busy and not at all phased by the fact that we forgot her mittens! Here's hoping that Baby number 2 is just as sweet!

A day in the life: Simpson Family

A"Day in the Life"* photo shoot is a cross-section of what makes a family click at certain point in their lives. I join a family for a few hours and just shoot the reality of the love and shoves, cuddles and pinches that get them through the day. Never will the kids be this age again, never will their hair be quite this shiny or eyes as wide with innocence. It's always such a privilege to capture these moments. Take some time to savour the day featured below!

This is the Simpson family. I loved working with these boys, Noah and Adam so much because they affirmed to me that all the CRAZY stuff my boy, Sam does is perfectly normal boy stuff. Rebecca and Steven are fully engaged parents that really allow their kids to be kids and show off their amazing personalities. It's apparent that despite their busy schedules (Rebecca is the second half of the amazing duo that owns Cravings Maternity and Baby Boutique with partner Jordanna), this family really take time to enjoy each other.
